1st Grade News The First grade learned all about How-to writing this week in class. On Friday, students were able to use the steps in their “How to Make a Snowman” writing pieces to create their very own snowmen out of play doh. They had a blast!
4th Grade News The Fourth graders began building Gingerbread houses. We can’t wait to see them all decorated!
Physical Education News No snow?... No worries! Ms. Snarski’s 1st grade students learn to snowboard during there Physical Education class with the help of the instructors from Mountain Creek.
4th and 5th Grade News Students in the fourth and fifth grade from Clarendon and Huber Street Schools attended the Garden State Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker last week at the Secaucus High School Performing Arts Center. Students enjoyed the show while supporting their classmate, Vella Vergieva, who performed in the show.
St. Jude News The Students at Clarendon School decorated stockings during their recess. All of the proceeds on the sale of the stockings went to ST JUDE RESEARCH Hospital.
First Grade News The First grade went on their field trip to Jenkinson's Aquarium. The students experienced an educational and intimate aquarium with exhibits of fish, coral reefs, penguins, sharks & other marine life.
The National Geographic Bee - Grades 4 & 5 (click here) Are you interested in learning about places all over the world? Do you like to learn about states, capitals, countries and continents? Are you inspired by physical, political, environmental and economic maps? Then, maybe The National Geographic Bee (Geo Bee) is for you! The contest is designed to inspire students to be curious about the world. Students in grades four and five may sign up to participate in the GeoBee with Mrs. Wurst. Technology News The Hour of Code was a huge success at Clarendon School. The global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org reached tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. The children particularly loved coding with The Grinch and Dance Party this year.
Art News Many classes recently earned a “Crayon Point Reward Day” after working hard in Art class! Students were able to choose from these stations: Playdoh Sculpture, Lego Architecture, Jewelry Creation, Stickers and Stencils, Observational Drawing, and Seasonal Character Drawing.
