Kindergarten News Mrs. Jaramillo’s Kindergarten enjoyed some pre Groundhog’s Day fun this Friday. Following some discussion and readings, the class charted their predictions then made puppets and explored their own in class “burrow” to act out what Punxsutawney Phil will do on Saturday.
St. Jude News Our annual St. Jude Jersey Day was a huge success. Students and teachers showed their team spirit while supporting this amazing cause. Thank you for your support.
4th Grade News The fourth grade students have been working hard on their reading skills. They have been reading paired passages on “CommonLit” a reading website where students have access to reading passages, comprehension and analytical questions, as well as writing response questions that can be graded by teachers and sent back to students with suggestions for improved writing.
5th Grade News Fifth graders in Ms.Sallustio's and Miss.Primavera's class participated in a "Figurative Language Gallery Walk" to help improve and identify figurative language skills.
Kindergarten News Kindergarten students at Clarendon School in Mrs. Abuhouran’s class have been learning about measuringusing the inchworm measuring tool. Learning about inches during the letter “Ii” week has been so much fun. Students got to work with a partner measuring various things in the classroom. Students had an “incredible “ time “inching” their way around class!!
2nd Grade News The second grade students in Mrs. Wurst’s class had fun “writing the room.” They worked together to find different classroom objects to describe using adjectives for number, size, and shape.

Technology News 5th grade students in Mr. Sommer's Technology class were excited to be completing course 1 in Code.org. In this unit the students created computer programs that will help them learn to collaborate with others, develop problem-solving skills, and persist through difficult tasks. By the end of the course, they create their very own custom game or story that they can share.
Clarendon Spelling Bee Gr 1-5 ¨Bee¨yond proud at Clarendon School! The Scripps National Spelling Bee, is one of the nation's oldest and most iconic competitions, and this the 91st year! The purpose of the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee is not only to help students improve their spelling, but also to increase their vocabularies, improve writing skills, public speaking and poise, and develop correct English usage that will help them throughout their lives.Hundreds of dedicated students in grades 1 through 5 from Clarendon School have become a part of this unique experience by participating in preliminary spelling bees.
