3rd Grade Author Visit At Clarendon School, the third graders welcomed famous author, Yona Zeldis McDonough. She is well-known for her successful "Who Was" books. Mrs. McDonough presented to each third grade class about the writing process. She walked them through how a book gets published. Enthusiastically sharing examples of her work in different stages of development, Mrs. McDonough was a superb speaker. This was a special day and experience for all, made possible with the support from the Clarendon School PTA.

Clarendon Senior Breakfast February 13, 2018 was our annual Senior Citizen Breakfast hosted by the Town at Clarendon School. The attendees were treated to a performance by the Drama Club and the kindergarten students. The Clarendon fifth grade children helped serve the senior citizens their breakfast during the show.
Clarendon Spelling Bee Finalists “BEE”yond Proud in Secaucus - Students in grades 1 through 5 from Huber Street and Clarendon Schools embarked upon a shared journey full of hard work, determination and the opportunity to make memories and friendships that last a lifetime. This journey is the Scripps National Spelling Bee!The Scripps National Spelling Bee, is one of the nation's oldest and most iconic competitions, and this year marks nine decades! The purpose of the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee is not only to help students improve their spelling, but also to increase their vocabularies, improve writing skills, public speaking and poise, and develop correct English usage that will help them throughout their lives.Over 300 dedicated students in grades 1 through 5 from Huber Street and Clarendon Schools in Secaucus, New Jersey have become a part of this unique experience by participating in preliminary spelling bees.
Kindergarten News “Students in Mrs. Lamatina’s class have been learning about dinosaurs and their extinction. They all had the chance to pretend to be paleontologists and dig for fossils in a chocolate chip cookie! Students recorded how many “bones” they found and attempted to do their dig without breaking their cookie!”
