2nd Grade News Ms. O’Hara’s class celebrated Read Across America Week with this “Stack the Cat’s Hat” STEM Challenge. Students worked in teams to build the tallest “hat” out of cups and index cards.

Kindergarten News Ms. Lamatina’s class was so excited to end their Show and Tell writing unit by hosting their very own bookstore! Students prepared by making fake money, designing decorations, creating signs, and even making their own cafe for serving treats! Their books were displayed, and “customers” came to read the books, meet the authors, and purchase their favorites!

3rd Grade News Students in Mrs. Palmer’s class began the celebration of Read Across America week by sharing their first narrative stories they wrote with a friend. Students learned about the writing process, peer editing, and the format of five paragraph essays. They had fun and learned a lot about writing while describing their favorite family vacations.
