CLARENDON SCHOOL THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BEE
Are you interested in learning about places all over the world? Do you like to learn about states, capitals, countries and continents? Are you inspired by physical, political, environmental and economic maps? Then, The National Geographic Bee could be for you!
On Friday, December 6, 2019, Clarendon School held The Preliminary National Geographic School Bee. Students in grades 4 and 5 competed in this worthwhile and relevant competition. Congratulations to Clarendon School’s 4th and 5th grade National Geographic Bee school level finalists! The following nine finalists will advance to The National Geographic Bee school finals on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Students competed tirelessly for seven strong rounds!

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019 Clarendon School held The National Geographic Bee School Finals. Our nine finalists competed in this intense competition in numerous rounds that included State Saavy, State Nicknames, Weird But True, Last Wild Places, Odd One Out, World Civilizations and the astounding Cities of the World! Our Geo Bee champion was identified after a total of ten rounds. Second and third place winners went on for an additional eight rounds before their placement was achieved.

Siya has been named the 2019-2020 Clarendon School’s National Geographic Bee Champion. She will be taking the online state qualifying test in January 2020. If Siya qualifies, she may go on to compete at The State Bee in April, 2020. The National Championship will be held in Washington DC in May, 2020. We are wishing Siya all the best on the state assessment.
