#IT STARTS WITH HELLO DAY

Clarendon School in Secaucus, NJ celebrated along with schools across the country "It Starts With Hello" Day. This program teaches students to make a difference with their peers in a simple, fun and impactful way.

Between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., members of the Secaucus Police Department, Fire Department, Town Council, and Board of Education joined us in greeting students as they entered the front of the building. We said "Hello," by giving fist bumps, hand shakes, and high fives as the students enter the school.

Later that morning, Clarendon students, faculty and staff formed the word "HELLO" in the field to promote connectedness and demonstrate kindness. "It Starts With Hello" is a Kindness Initiative teaching students to recognize that ONE smile can start a friendship, ONE word can end a fight, ONE person can change a life and ONE act of kindness can make a difference.

Special thanks must go to the Secaucus Police Department, Fire Department, Town Council, and Board of Education for helping us start our day by greeting our students as they entered the building.
