Principal's Message

Dear Clarendon Families,

As the new principal of Clarendon School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning families. It is my honor to lead you and your children into another exciting school year! I will be starting my 23rd year in the Secaucus School District and I am just as committed as ever to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment in my new role where every student feels valued and supported. Our teachers and custodial staff have been diligently working to make our classrooms and campus back to school-ready for next week. Our outstanding PTA has already set the wheels in motion for many fundraisers and fun-filled events for your children to enjoy.

I understand that the transition to a new principal may bring about some questions or concerns, and I assure you that my door is always open. In my graduation speech in June, I used a quote from Fred Rogers, the star of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. He famously said, “When I was a boy, my mother would say to me, “‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” I am here, first and foremost, to help the families and faculty of Clarendon School. It is my top priority to listen to feedback, address any issues that may arise, and continually work towards improving our school. Together, as a united community, we can cultivate an environment that enables our students to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

I am truly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our school and our students. As always, we will look to our families to be positive partners in their children’s educational journey. Together, we will make this a remarkable year of growth and achievement.

Sincerely,

Christine Candela
